3 Ways To Completely Transform Your Kitchen (Without Demolishing It)

3 Ways To Completely Transform Your Kitchen

People often call the kitchen the center of their home. It’s where you spend time nourishing your body and gathering with friends and family to impress them with a delicious meal. We want to want to spend time in our kitchen, so it’s important that your space feels representative of you and your style. If you feel like it’s time to liven up your kitchen, there are a few changes you can make that will ultimately give it an upgrade and transform your kitchen without calling for a total demolition project.

1. Replace Your Countertops

One of the key elements of your kitchen is your countertops. Switching from an older style of counters to new granite & marble countertops can brighten up your entire room, impressing your friends and family alike.

Choosing the type of granite or marble countertop you want is a fun way to transform your kitchen and give it the feeling you want it to have.

There’s a wide variety of colors and patterns of granite for you to choose from. One type of granite can contain many fun specks of different colors. The patterning gives off a bright, lively feeling and is perfect if you enjoy hosting game days or parties. Whereas elegant marble (which runs on the more expensive side) has more consistent colors and gives off a high-end vibe. This is great for lush evenings of red wine and good conversation.

2. Refresh Your Cabinets and Drawers

Cabinetry immediately catches the eye when you walk into a kitchen, setting the aesthetic tone. However, the cost of redoing your kitchen is pretty…up there. Completely upgrading your drawers and cabinets will eat up a lot of your budget, but there are savvy ways to get around this.

If all you want is a change in style, opt to renovate them yourself. Although it will take some time and labor, a DIY cabinetry project can be a fun task, and you’ll come out of it with a new skill. Plus, it will definitely be easier on your wallet.

You may decide that you just want to paint or stain your current cabinets, or even go the extra step to remove the doors to create a fresh open shelving look. Either way, you don’t need a gut renovation to give your kitchen a new feel.

3. Upgrade Your Appliances

Having old or broken kitchen appliances can deter you from wanting to use the kitchen at all. Stop wasting all that money on expensive take-out and upgrade your appliances instead.

If you want a crisp and timeless look, we recommend checking out some sleek stainless steel appliances. The elements of stainless steel also make it very durable and resistant to rust and heat. Investing in such a solid material will prolong the lifespan of your appliances.

However, if you want to avoid having to wipe off finger stains time and time again, you may instead want to get white appliances. White appliances are perfect if you’re trying to make colorful cabinets or countertops pop. Plus, they will really open up a smaller kitchen.

Conclusion — Give Your Kitchen Some TLC

If your kitchen is looking down and out, you don’t need a complete renovation to bring it back to life. But you should still give it some love. It’s one of the most essential rooms in your house, after all. Even if there’s a move in the future, the simplest upgrades can increase your property value when it’s time to sell.

Refreshing any of the above is a great way to transform your kitchen space and make it a place you want to share with others.
