5 Tips to Manage Study Time — Plan Your Education Easily

Do you have problems with managing your study time? Here are the 5 main tips to follow. They will help you organize your time and not be buried under books.

Manage Your Study time with 5 Effective Tips

The first step always lies in planning.

What does planning mean? It usually covers the following aspects:

  • Understand how many weeks you have before the exam.
  • For each week, identify the days to devote to studying.
  • For those days, determine the hours to spend with notes and books and revise the material.

After doing that, focus on the topics to study. Specifically, your to-do list consists of the following points:

  • Understand the issues you need to study.
  • Spread these topics according to study days.
  • Make sure you have enough time before exams to review everything.

Respect this ladder, and your education will be stressless. But now, let’s take a closer look at this strategy.

5 Tips to Manage the Time of Your Study

Ok, we’ve planned and scheduled our study. This way, we can see the difference between the way we will spend our time now and how we’re going to do that next few weeks. But the main question is, how can we avoid wasting time? Here are 5 tips that can really make a difference and save your days without a hurry!

No distractions!

The first step is to plan the study. Now, we must work on the elimination of distractions.

Did you know that for every time you get distracted, your mind needs at least 30 minutes to refocus? Quite a considerable time. It means that if you look at Instagram twice in half an hour, you have “lost” an hour and a half of your attention. You can’t afford it!

There is an excellent organizational technique — the study border. Do you know what it is based on?

The process is simple. You create your own beautiful and convenient area on your desk dedicated to the study. The only things there are your book and any notebooks, highlighters, or pens. For a special touch, you can consider adding personalized memo pads to the list. That’s That’s enough.

The mobile phone must not be near you. For many students, this argumentative issue becomes a real stumbling block. But what you will have to do is to keep it away from you for the entire study period. That also applies to all other sources of distraction, of course.

For example, if you have decided to dedicate 3 hours to study, and every hour consists of 25 minutes of work and 5 minutes for breaks, so, you will have 10 minutes every hour to do what you need. Also check tips on reducing distractions while studying on Study Prep Lounge.

It’s All about Starting

Ok, now you know how to plan your study days, you know how to avoid distractions. You just have to start.

“I have the bad habit of waking up late and wasting a lot of time before opening the book, do you have any advice? I don’t know how to start pulling myself together. ““

Sure!

Starting frequently turns out to be one of the most painful stages for every student.

Taking the first step right is essential to continue throughout the day well. But how to approach a challenging activity to start like studying?

Establish Scheduled Times

I did this every day. The 9.00 am was the time when I have to start studying. So, I needed to organize myself accordingly, setting my pre-study “evenings” so as not to be too late, and managing my mornings to have an excellent breakfast and a shower. As a result, I had myself reading the book 5 minutes before 9.00.

The Final Points of Planning

You already know when you need to start, don’t you? One of the most important things here is to know when your studying starts and ends. Let’s set it at 9.00 and 13.00. So, between 9.00 and 13.00, insert a 20/25 minute break to refresh the brain. This way, you will be less anxious before studying, and you will know that with only one considerable break, you will need to be 100% working.

Use the 5-Second Technique

When there’s no urgency in your schedule, you can use another relevant method, a 5-seconds one.

Put a book aside and do a 5-second countdown before taking it again. After that, immerse yourself in reading. This technique is used to overcome procrastination in a rather forced way.

Time-Management for Students, the Conclusion

We’ve come to the end of this article full of tips for your well-managed study. Now, you just have to adopt these techniques. Remember that you have to approach managing your time reasonably and make your education years well-balanced. The final recommendation is not to overburden yourself with challenging projects and academic objectives. Don’t forget to enjoy your academic life!
