Nowadays wood fuel is considered cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and also very comfortable to use. Compressed granules are so convenient to use that, having tried them once, it is already impossible to refuse them. Traditional chopped firewood, pieces of coal, and other fuels fade into the background as soon as a person encounters wood pellets. It is biomass fuel that provides maximum heating of a room or an entire building, heats water, and is quite safe to use.

Replacing Conventional Fuels with Biomass: Benefits

The biomass wood pellets have long been popular among connoisseurs of good fuel. Why are traditional fuel resources fading into the background? The thing is that they are for the most part very dangerous for the environment in general and human health. When fuel burns, it releases a large amount of toxic substances, all of which greatly affect the climate. If we take such fuel as coal or oil, then there will be much more questions and difficulties with their transportation than the result. Transportation and use of processed fuel from wood are much easier and easier, not so confusing, and it is doubly convenient.

Biomass fuel is not only wood and wood products. No need to immediately think that this is wood waste from factories and sawmills and furniture factories. You need to think more broadly: this is a fuel that is made from animal and vegetable matter. In many countries, pellets are made by pressing or granulating. Nothing competes better with coal and oil than wood and pellets.

Biomass fuel is a small cylindrical figure, the length of which is 3-5 centimeters. The diameter of each granule reaches 6-8 millimeters. If the pellets are larger, then this is already low-quality fuel or fuel that is not manufactured according to standards. The effect of fuel combustion may differ if it is not carried out according to the accepted standard. That is why it is very important to pay attention to the size of the granules and what they are made of. Pellets can be compared in quality to the most efficient firewood, because they are inexpensive, burn just as well, and even better. What are the advantages of granules in practice?

  • combustion of pellets is clean, as the compressed wood emits a sufficient amount of unburned particles;
  • when burned, pellets give much more heat and energy than any other fuel, so pellets are recorded in the efficient fuel section;
  • since pellets have excellent density (i.e. high), the transportation of such fuel is as comfortable as possible.

In addition, the high density and high-quality strength of the product allow them to be transported over very long distances. No breaks are formed even during the longest transportation.
