Easy Paper Mache’ Icicles

Katharine · November 16, 2013 ·

These Paper Mache Icicles are a quick and easy project. They look great hanging on a tree. They are also a Great craft show seller.

Supplies Needed:
Large Bobby Pins
Tin Foil
Instant Paper Mache (found at local craft store)
White Paint
Iridescent Glitter, Mica Flakes or similar product for sparkle

Instructions:

Take a large bobby pin and and wrap tin foil around the pin, tapering it at the bottom so it looks like a long icicle. I leave just enough of the bobby pin at the top for the hanger.

Mix the paper mache according to package directions.

Cover the tin foil with instant paper mache forming the same tapered shape.

Let dry completely.

When completely dry, paint white and then sprinkle some iridescent glitter or mica flakes on them. You can also leave them plain but I think they look best with some sparkle!

Let dry completely.

You can put a bundle of these in a cellophane bag, tie with homespun and perhaps add a prim tag and you have a nice looking package to sell at your craft shows.

Bobby pins also make strong hooks when making anything out of a Styrofoam ball to hang. Like snowballs or snowman heads. I have also used the same concept and made paper mache stars and candy canes.

Have FUN!

Spread the love
