Indoor Hot Tubs vs Outdoor Hot Tubs: Which is the Best Option?

For some people, choosing where they’re going to install their hot tubs is easy. They will usually have a clear idea of what they want out of it, and have already made their choice. But for others, it’s a bit more complicated.

Indoor Hot Tubs vs Outdoor Hot Tubs Which is the Best Option

Not every household has the luxury of having two hot tubs, and some might be torn between which type of hot tub they should get. Both options have their advantages, and depending on your needs, one might be more practical than the other. There may also be some factors that you overlooked in your decision. Let’s take a look at both indoor and outdoor bathtubs, and try to find the best option for you.

In This Corner: Indoor Hot Tubs

Indoor hot tubs are the best option if you favor your privacy more than anything. You don’t have to worry about what you’re wearing, or how loud you’re speaking or listening to music. The other benefit of indoor hot tubs is that you always have easy access to them. If you feel like going in first thing in the morning and heading downstairs in your robe and slippers, you’re completely free to do so. You don’t have to worry about the weather either.

One of the issues with indoor hot tubs, however, is that they can be difficult to install. For one, many houses don’t have large enough entrances for a hot tub to get through. Second of all, you might not have the plumbing necessary to install one in the first place.

Another thing a lot of people don’t take into consideration when installing a hot tub inside is humidity. The excess humidity can end up warping materials like wood and create a breeding ground for mold. This could make a hot tub more of a nuisance than anything.

In the Other Corner: Outdoor Hot Tubs

Outdoor hot tubs are a great option if you want to enjoy your garden with a few of your friends or your family. One of the best things about them is that they’re usually very easy to install. There is no intricate plumbing work to do, and no space issues to worry about.

You don’t have to worry about excess humidity or ventilation either. As a matter of fact, outside hot tubs tend to be very low maintenance. You also have companies like Oasis Leisure selling self-cleaning units, which makes them virtually maintenance free. So, these are the best option if you want as few headaches as possible.

The biggest issue with outdoor hot tubs is access and the fact that you’re vulnerable to the elements. However, this can be mitigated by creating some sort of enclosure or by using a gazebo.

So, Who Wins?

If you absolutely can’t see yourself enjoying a hot tub in your backyard, then by all means, go for an indoor hot tub – but know that it’ll cost you. If you want something that you’ll be able to install and enjoy fast without having to worry about damage to your house, then an outdoor hot tub might be a better option. However, make sure that you’re ready for the tough months and are prepared to change plans when the weather isn’t on your side.

Now that you know a bit more about the pros and cons of both options, we strongly suggest you speak with a provider today, and ask a bit more about them. They’ll be able to direct you towards the best choice, and inform you on what you can expect from both.
