Interior Styling Tips for Summer

Interior Styling Tips for SummerPhoto by Spacejoy on Unsplash

If you’re all out of ideas this summer but you still want to liven up your home’s interior then check out the tips below. In this post, you will find some great ideas for well-established trends and ones that are up and coming. Get on on the ground level with mirrored furniture, for instance, or liven up your home with color pops.

Cottagecore

The Cottage Core trend hasn’t gone anywhere for a while, and if it has it’s been from strength to strength. Developed in the mid-2010s by millennials and Gen Zeders this style trend is now fashionable with other generations as well. It’s no wonder as it combines a love for the past with a modern aesthetic.

To make your home Cottage Core this summer you don’t have to go all out. You don’t have to move to a cottage in the country, for instance. All you have to do is make a start in the cottage core direction. This means buying some used wooden furniture and patterned fabric for curtains and cushion covers.

Japandi

Japandi is a portmanteau word that combines Japan with Scandi – short from Scandanavian. These two styles have their own unique charms but they also complement each other very well. From the Japanese side, there is rustic minimalism and the Scadi side offers comfort and warmth.

To make you home Japandi this summer – and on-trend we might add – you need to pare down the room’s overall style. Paint the walls with plain colors and consider slightly different shades of the same color for different walls. Buy furniture that is linear with a used look then introduce all things “hygge” to finish it off.

Mirrored Furniture

One of the best style tips we can offer for you this summer is mirrored furniture. The mirrored furniture style trend is on an upward curve at the moment and now is the time to bag some piece from your home that will impress your friends and neighbors.

There are loads of advantages to mirrored furniture such as the illusion of more space in the room, more natural light reflected, and it blends with any kind of decoration. Mirrored furniture pieces include mirrored dining tables, mirrored units, mirrored bedside cabinets, mirrored drawers, and mirrored nest of table.

Earth Tones

Earth colors are another firm favorite when it comes to style trends for summer. Earth tones include colors such as red, yellow, brown, green, and black. There is every shade in between as well which gives you more options for exactness when it comes to designing your perfect summer interior.

Experts say that earth tones are very good for comfort and relaxation, so the best place to put these colors is in your communal spaces like living rooms and dining areas, or your home office. Any combination of earth tones should work in much the same way so look online for a palette and have fun.

Color Pops

If you want an easy and affordable way to bring some color into your life this summer, opt for the color pops. This is a recent trend that is all about accent colors, choose a color theme for your home and buy pieces that make it pop, like flowers, lamps, and cushions.
