Good loose leaf tea is hard to find around my parts of Tennessee. I noticed the same problem in other places we've lived, too. Then we got a store in our mall that had all kinds of delicious teas. But, sadly they closed. I was left wondering where to buy loose leaf tea near me. However, my local search left me nothing but bagged tea from the grocery. And so, I went online and found a nice subscription box, Simple Loose Leaf Tea Company, that ships out a monthly box of fresh tea to your home. I contacted them and they were kind enough to send me a sample box to review here on the blog.
Simple Loose Leaf Tea Company
The company is family owned. More and more I look to do business with small family businesses. In this case your business with this company not only helps a family earned a livelihood, but it helps them to work with their local developmentally disabled by creating jobs for them.
They keep it easy and simple to order. Any orders during the month start being shipped out the first of the month. Your box will contain 40 grams divided into 4 teas. That's about 8 cups worth. Included is 4 cloth tea bags. There are four boxes to choose from. I got the sampler since I enjoy a variety of teas. They, also, offer additional tea flavors in their online store. You can stop your subscription at anytime simply by logging into your account.
Enjoying My Loose Tea
My loose leaf tea sampler included: Blood Orange Herbal, Genmaicha Green Tea, Blue Lady Grey, and Qi Lan Oolong. It's a nice mix of teas that might have not found shopping for loose teas online, and especially not locally. My favorite is the Blood Orange Herbal, but that's because I like fruit teas the most. All the teas have a delicious flavor. I like that the Qi Lan Oolong is lighter in flavor than most oolong teas. The Blue Lady Grey is also different than many of its Early Grey counterparts. And the Genmaicha Green Tea is a nice variety of green tea. Having lived in Japan for a year, I am always fond of good green tea.
Conclusion
I would definitely recommend trying Simply Loose Leaf Tea‘s subscription box. At just $9 a box, it's very affordable. They make nice gifts, too! USE Coupon Code: 3OFFBOX1 and get $3 off!
