Product releases, or news about new products, are a great way to introduce your company to new markets and to generate excitement around your brands. It’s important to remember though that releasing too many products too soon can have a negative effect on your brand, as consumers can become bored with the noise. Product releases should ideally be released within six months of the launch of your next big new product or service and a year before the next one. Ideally, you will have released at least one product in the past year, but if not then make sure you release at least one per year. Timing

Your new product releases should also be timed to the end of the product cycle. For example, if your next release of a product is supposed to be released in four weeks, you should launch it three weeks before the end of your release cycle. Do keep in mind however that many people aren’t keen to wait four weeks for a product. For this reason, you don’t necessarily want to launch a new product during the release of another new product. That said though, if you do release a new product during this time people will be so excited by what you have to offer that they will want to get your new product fast.

Targeting

You need to ensure that your new product releases are highly targeted. The best way to do this is to target your customers by their search keywords. For example, if you launch a video app for parents, your new arrivals section should be targeted towards parents, and your news feed should be aimed towards young children. If you target your keyword searches correctly, you can greatly improve the number of new product releases your eCommerce website receives.

Awareness

It’s also important to make sure your target audience is aware of the new product releases. To do this you should send out press releases to local newspapers and TV stations. Additionally, make sure you send out posts on social media, include reviews on parenting sites and websites like Mommy bloggers. The more your target audience knows about your brand, the better chance you have of them buying your products.

Social Media Platforms

Social media is one of the fastest-growing areas of internet marketing today. Many people today use social media to interact with other people and to promote their businesses. This means you want to get people talking about your brand on all of the major social media platforms. While you’re at it, make sure you’re getting people talking about your latest releases on your own brand’s social media pages as well.

Patience

With any new marketing strategy, you have to give your audience time to get used to your new product launch strategy. This means you shouldn’t launch your new product release strategy until you have plenty of time to allow your target audience to get familiar with it. Give them plenty of time to try to figure out how your new product is different from your competitors’ products. If you’ve done a good job with your branding, they should quickly get the idea that you’re on the same page as them. They can also give you feedback on how your new product is working out so you can make any necessary changes before launching. Remember, your goal isn’t just to launch your new product but to build trust in your brand.
