Travel Just Got Easier: Scratch Travel Map

Scratch off travel maps. It’s the latest buzz phrase spreading around college campuses and office water coolers. Don’t freak out if you have no idea what we’re talking about, the scratch map trend is just starting to make the rounds. We’re gonna clue you in and get you caught up.

What is a scratch off map?

A scratch off map is basically a map that you hang on your wall and use to track your travels and plan future trips. Every time you visit a new state or country, find it on your scratch map and scratch it off. Get it? You scratch it off your scratch off map. Now that you know what it is, you need to know where to find it. The best scratch map we’ve found is over at Newverest.com.

Some scratch maps are more gimmick than travel tool. Think glow-in-the-dark globes and light-up posters. They might seem like a fun idea, but they fall apart after a week or two and you’re stuck with a big pile of nothing and thumbtack holes in your wall. That’s not what Newverest does.

Where to find quality scratch maps

Newverest.com only puts out premium scratch maps that are hand drawn and painted by local artists before being digitized and printed on high quality poster paper. Each scratch off travel map is beautifully designed, easy to use, and looks amazing hanging on any wall in your home. Newverest.com sells both world and USA scratch maps, with multiple versions of each to suit every taste.

The Newverest.com site is easy to navigate and super intuitive, so you won’t get lost when you’re trying to find something. Just click the “Shop” button and you’ll get an overview of all their maps. Click the ones you want to explore further and discover the finer details of each.

Maps for different age groups

The original world scratch off map and USA scratch map both come in a kid’s edition, which is fun if you have children twelve or younger. You get the map plus a kid-friendly bucket list and 50 adorable animal cards that teach them fun facts about the creatures living in the places they visit.

For high school and college-age kids, as well as adults and seniors, grab a copy of the original world scratch map or take a look at the USA Voyage edition, Traveler’s Special, or original. Each scratch off travel map has subtle differences that make them stand out from one another. The Traveler’s Special and Voyage edition both include scratch off flags for each of the 50 US states in addition to the states themselves.

Using your new map

Once you’ve got your scratch map, pick up a Newverest.com frame and easily hang it on your wall. Or forget the frame and hang it straight out of the package. Each scratch off map includes self-adhesive tape to hang it, a scratch tool for scratching away the outer layer, and a cleaning cloth to wipe away any residue. This is the kind of thing your whole family can get into. Once you start scratching, you won’t want to stop.
