What Does Your Favourite Designer Brand Say About You?

What Does Your Favourite Designer Brand Say About You?

Luxury designer brands are the driving force behind what trends are considered iconic, and what trends are doomed to fail miserably. Designer fashion is more than just a simple style addition. It is a complete statement, and also a signal of your demeanor and essence. With so many designer brands releasing iconic pieces to the masses, it is clear that certain groups of people gravitate towards specific designer brands. It may be superficial, but your favourite designer brand does say a lot about your character. Designer brands are even aware of this and play on the likes, interests, and lifestyle choices of their specific target markets. All luxury brands have their ideal, niche, submarkets, and you are likely one of them!

Knowing what your favourite designer brand say about you may give you some insight into how others perceive you for wearing the brand, and also how to carry yourself. Take a look at which designer brands we have included, and the interesting things they might say about you:

Chanel

Chanel is one of the most important fashion houses in the world. With the likes of Aubray Hefburn and in recent years Margot Robbie, sporting the little black dresses proudly as part of their statements, it is no surprise that nearly a century later Chanel is still worn and adored by many. If you are someone who adores Chanel, whether it is for their distinct perfumes or contemporary designs, you are likely someone who likes what they like. By this, we mean that your opinion is never disturbed by the comments of others, and you like to keep things as simple yet elegant as possible. You prefer your own company, even if that means sitting at your favourite coffee shop watching the world go by. You are not a people pleaser but instead offer your politeness. People who wear Chanel know their worth, as they should!

Gucci

A brand that originated from the creation of leather horse saddles, Gucci is now a household name that millions of people love and buy into. With their iconic Gucci symbols and quality-made leather handbags, it comes as a surprise to find out people have not seen Gucci items before. They are extremely distinctive, much like the people who wear Gucci. If you are someone who loves Gucci, this would suggest that you love to make a statement. When you walk into the room, you expect the attention to dart at you. What’s more, you also appreciate high quality, hence why the people around you are as successful as you are.

Balenciaga

Balenciaga is one of the more malleable designer brands that is around this century. Likewise, for nearly 100-year-olds, Balenciaga has seen surprising shifts in its target market, with streetwear being at the height of what it does. With influential celebrities such as Kanye West supporting the brand and offering creative insights, Balenciaga is now the most favoured luxury streetwear brand of this decade. If your favourite designer brand is Balenciaga, you are likely someone who is always on the move and busy. You are a social butterfly, and people from all walks of life know of your existence. You enjoy staying on top of trends and are always looking for the next big thing in luxury fashion.

Fendi

Founded in 1925, Fendi is an iconic brand that has been beautifully uplifted by iconic creative directions such as Karl Lagerfeld. The iconic F and F iconic came from Karl himself, a force in the fashion world who is still well-loved today. Originally selling fur and leather pieces, Fendi now has an extensive range of fashion items that the highest people in society favour wearing.

If Fendi is your favourite fashion designer, you are likely someone who appreciates timeless luxury but also values the modern tweaks that Fendi adds to their fashion pieces. You are calm, cool and collected, and simply let your outfit do the talking for you. You are happy to walk into a room without knowing anyone as you are sure to spark up an interesting conversation.

Hermes

Hermes truly is a statement brand that instantly uplifts the value of the person wearing their fashion items. Inspired by the iconic Jane Birkin, the Hermes Birkin bag is considered an investment piece today, with each bag being handmade and appreciated due to its rarity. You are lucky enough to get your hands on such elite items, this would only suggest that you are an elite person. You are the kind of person who is certain of yourself and your ability to get things right. People love to be around you as you are open to sharing your wealth and success, and also knowledge.  Education is key for you, and you are always looking for new ways to increase your value, Birkin or not!

Louis Vuitton

Valued at over 30 billion dollars, Louis Vuitton is the “IT’ brand in the designer world. First known for their iconic monochromatic trunks in the 19th century, Louis Vuitton has aged gracefully into the 21st century, expanding on their designs and creating the perfect balance between timeless and new-age in their new pieces. If Louis Vuitton is your favourite brand, then you likely value quality over quantity. You do not like to wear a mixture of different designer pieces and instead appreciate the smaller details that

Louis Vuitton presents. Once you have your heart set on something, you will always strive to achieve it. That means if there is a sold-out item, you will use all of your contacts to get what you want!

Prada

Last but certainly not least, we have Prada. Since opening its first boutique in Milan in the 19th century, Prada has been the go-to brand for people looking for the most iconic handbags and shoes. A global luxury brand today, people flock to the masses to get their hands on any item that showcases the stunning logo that they have created. Reflecting a sleek and playful style, so many people love para today. If Prada is your favourite luxury brand, you are likely someone who is not so easy to please but is happy to accept the occasional gift, if it’s a Para nylon hand page of course. You are headstrong and love to keep your circle close.

Final Thoughts

To conclude, whilst it may be considered materialistic to judge people’s character behind their favourite designer brand, there is also some level of truth behind it. The reality is, that luxury designer brands create their pieces with the knowledge that their target audience will love and wear the clothing. So, whether you are a classic Chanel girl or a bodacious Gucci wearer,  make sure you wear your designer clothing with confidence and purpose.
